Financial Analyst

This position is designed to perform financial analysis, evaluate current and historical data, and look for the opportunities to strengthen company’s performance through using external and internal benchmarking tools.

What you will be doing:

  • Functioning as a support arm for departmental management as well as executive management when questions arise. (Take notes at Labor Meeting and actively participate in the conversation).
  • Facilitating any standard changes that need to be made as a result of changes in strategy, conditions or operating environment.  
  • Complete daily, weekly, and MTD property tasks & reports that are required to track performance and identify opportunities.
  • Monitor that the weekly forecasting and scheduling timeline is maintained.
  • Audit and review effective use of the system components for Forecasting and Scheduling.
  • Reconcile the difference between the Time & Attendance system colleagues and what is in LMS.
  • Perform analytical work in regards to the effectiveness of the standards in the system to drive required productivity results.
  • Ensuring new members of the team complete their LMS Certification process in a timely manner to ensure effective & compliant use of the system.
  • Examine a company’s financials, internal and external benchmarking to discover the opportunities to strengthen company’s financial position


Your experience and skills include:

  • Understanding of the hotel accounting processes and functions
  • Computer skills including the ability to operate accounting, spreadsheet, word processing and e-mail programs
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Good communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of Resort operations, its services, and facilities.
  • High school or equivalent education required.  College degree with major in accounting or related preferred
  • 1-3 year of relevant experience
