Job Description
This Financial Analyst 4 position within Siemens Healthineers Accounting Functions Controlling (SHS AC FC AM) will be responsible for government reporting activities for Siemens Healthineers USA. Government reporting responsibilities include: Tracking deadlines for monthly, quarterly, annual, and five-year benchmark government surveys (e.g., Monthly Wholesale Trade Report, BE-605, BE-577s, QFR) Managing timelines for online submissions and requesting extensions as needed to align with global release of quarterly/annual financial results Gathering required data from accounting systems and business stakeholders Updating government reporting templates with key financial data for current reporting period Analyzing reporting results for accuracy and submitting for review/approval Communicating with government agencies and processing online survey submissions Ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards Participating in special ad hoc assignments and projects (e.g., explore and develop efficiencies for data collection and analysis, assess impact of mergers/acquisitions, divestitures, etc. on government reporting process) The position will be accountable for and measured in terms of: Quality, consistency, and timeliness of government reporting deliverables Ability to analyze financial data, identify drivers of significant variances from prior reporting period, and provide commentary as needed for submission to government agencies Customer orientation and responsiveness Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience: High energy level with a hands-on approach in a fast paced, dynamic environment Excellent problem solving, diagnosis and analytical skills Strong systems aptitude and proficiency, including expert Excel Experience with ESPRIT, Business Warehouse, and SAP preferred Demonstrated ability to identify and define issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with superior attention to detail Effective communication skills with ability to present analysis and findings in both verbal and written formats Strong Accounting and/or Tax background with ability to understand and navigate complex accounting topics BS/BA in Finance, Accounting or related degree with minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, or Tax Confident, self-starter with ability to work with minimal direction Siemens Healthineers has recently announced the next steps in our continued commitment to prioritize colleague health, comply with customer/business partner requirements, and help preserve our business continuity.
