Job Description

The Financial Analyst is responsible for Controlling of overheads and manage Market Co-OP payment process for all BMW of North America business units which includes planning and reporting, financial analysis, target monitoring and financial approval of purchase requisitions.

The Analyst will work closely with cost center managers, pruchasing, accounting and AG central controlling departments in order to correctly record overheads, provide business partners and management with cost center analysis and give guidance on controlling and financial planning processes. The Analyst will be required to challenge process partners under the guidance of both the manager and the operations lead and also act as a consultant in order to achieve the best results for the company. 

He/She coordinates the planning processes to ensure compliance with central reporting requirements and timelines. The Analyst will be responsible for the monthly reporting of the Customer Support contribution margin, including compilation and execution of various reports. He/She aligns and coordinates the financial results with the business units and presents them to the management.

Additionally, the Financial Analyst will perform financial Controlling review, challenge questionable expenditure and ensure alignment with financial targets and alert management about any irregularities.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting/Controlling or Economics
  • 1-3 years of Finance/Controlling/Accounting/Strategic Planning experience
  • High working level knowledge of all main Microsoft Office Products such as Power Point, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel as well as Microsoft Access as well as SAP / IFT Finance Modules, SAP BEX Analyzer
  • Ability to:
    • Understand and analyze detailed data
    • communicate highly technical financial topics to non-finance individuals
    • summarize results and present conclusions and recommendations to Management
    • sustain and prioritize high workloads under high pressure deadlines
    • work independently and autonomously on key topics
    • Strong inter-personnel skills, self-confidence and assertiveness in order to be able to represent the Controlling view in discussions with process partners.
