Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for the co-ordination of business unit financial and performance reporting, ensuring that financial records are accurately maintained. Utilize accounting information to support the Management team to establish and execute business improvement opportunities / cost efficiencies. Operating as a key member of the Slough finance team, the post holder will have strong communication skills with the ability to confidently discuss financial matters via conference call / web conference where necessary. The post holder will have the ability to work at high intensity with minimal guidance to deliver accurate and meaningful reports / results to key stakeholders ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Slough Finance lead for the assigned business unit(s) processes with responsibility for the preparation of financial and performance reporting including detailed analysis of revenue and costs, KPIs and supplementary data, ensuring requirements are delivered on-time and right first time. Takes full responsibility for the assigned month end close processes; working in collaboration with business partners and in line with divisional reporting timetables to populate management reporting systems during the appropriate reporting windows. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis for the assigned business unit(s) and account codes, including full analysis and supporting documentation for all balances. Assist in the development of improved systems and processes and specifically lead the enhancement of assigned business unit(s) P&L, balance sheet and performance reporting to provide a more accurate and in-depth view of results, forecasts and key drivers. Slough Finance lead on ensuring full compliance with Eaton policy for the assigned business unit(s) and processes. Ensure adequacy of all internal controls through SOX compliance and risk management Proactively build strong relationships with all members of the finance team to allow flexibility, cover and knowledge enhancement. Slough Finance lead for internal and external audits of assigned business unit(s) and processes Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: High caliber part-qualified CIMA/ACCA with industry experience Knowledge of SAP would be a distinct advantage Advanced Excel skills are essential (vlookups, pivot tables and various add-ins) Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail Eager to work in a dynamic and complex organization characterized by matrix relations Advanced analytical and Customer focus skills.
