Eaton’s Vehicle Group is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team. This position is based in Galesburg, MI with a hybrid work schedule. Sponsorship is not available for this position! Position Overview: The primary function of the Financial Analyst role is to provide planning, forecasting, accounting, and business support to Vehicle Group headquarter departmental managers in functions such as Operations, Facilities, IT, HR, and other headquarters functions. In this function you will: Works collaboratively with global business leads to complete the month-end closing, coordinate the monthly forecast, and develop the annual profit plan for department budgets within the Vehicle Group headquarters. Supports the month-end closing by preparing journal entries, cross-charge allocations, month-end accruals, commentary on variances and reporting for senior leaders Oversees the headquarters allocation processes including calculating the allocations to the regions, billing the regional allocations, reviewing inter-company allocation out of balances, and coordinating Sector allocation updates and pass backs. Coordinates the monthly forecast and annual profit plan by working collaboratively with business leads to prepare their budgets and staffing plans. Independently works to review budgets for consistency and completeness, analyze spending trends, identify risks and opportunities, prepare reporting, and lead financial presentations Acts as a business partner with functional leads by helping coordinate all financial activities. Helps organization navigate all business financial transactions including supplier payments, invoicing, payroll, benefits, credit cards, capital and fixed assets. Leads action plans to address financial risk and opportunities. Works with financial leads in other countries to coordinate financial inputs and staffing plans. Ensures global spending is accurately forecasted and recorded. Works effectively with multiple currencies. Designs innovative financial tools to help business leads budget, forecast and manage their financial performance. Analyzes key performance drivers to investigate spending variances. Performs root cause analysis to resolve problems. Interprets financial results and communicates opportunities for improvement to budget leads. Works in a team environment to drive improvement in financial processes through tools/systems, automation, and standardization. Cross-train with other analysts to build skills and experience across the division finance team. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility in Galesburg, MI will be considered.
