Position Overview: Responsible for providing proactive financial service to the Canadian Services (EESS) and Critical Power & Digital Infrastructure (CPDI) businesses through innovative planning, analysis, consulting and reporting while maintaining effective control in accordance with GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley and Eaton corporate policy. Job Responsibilities: Provide accurate and timely financial analysis and report to aid in profitably managing the businesses and make recommendations to compensate for variances when detected. Complete and consolidate EESS backlog liquidation file, Closed Job processing and Framework Report to communicate consolidated actual results as compared to plan and forecast. Provide accurate and timely account reconciliations and resolve variances in a timely manner. Reconcile sub-ledger systems to the general ledger utilizing advanced data analytics and tools. Participate in the development and communication of internal budgets and assist in the preparation of profit plans for the EESS and CPDI businesses. Assist in the implementation of financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Eaton Financial policies, GAAP, local regulations and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Manage the accurate and efficient processing of transactions to the accounting systems and ensure compliance with federal and provincial sales tax regulations. Analyze financial statements and perform variance / ratio / trend analysis during and after month end close. Ensure that all supplemental inquiries are responded to in an accurate and timely manner. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Minimum 2 years in an accounting environment. University Education with a Business focus. Knowledge of federal/provincial laws and regulations regarding taxes. Understanding of foreign exchange transaction and translation reporting. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX). Pursuing or in possession of professional designation (CPA, CMA, CGA, CA). Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with various ERP systems (Oracle) Position Success Criteria: Ability to work with others in remote locations required – effective communication across distance. Ability to build relationships with key managers/stakeholders and provide timely, solid business advice are key success factors. Effective time management and project management skills. Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to facilitate teams/groups and work with all levels of the organization. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel. Effective time management and project management skills. Work environment is predominantly office however site visits and involvement are needed in order to gain a full understanding of the business.
