Job Description

As one of the most innovative and influential players in medical technology, we are offering an ambitious candidate the chance to be a strong player in the Business Performance Controlling Team in Siemens Healthineers GB&I. The BPC team provides the financial framework with a highly analytical focus on valuable and reliable data to oversee the overall Healthineers business in GB&I. More concrete, this highly interactive department provides reporting, budgeting, forecasting and the strategic long-term planning for the P&L, Free Cash Flow and Balance Sheet adhering to company policies and accounting standards. Therefore, balancing the need for accuracy and efficiency throughout all aspects of the work focusing on digitalization as well as monitoring and driving actions for improvements are key. In addition, a close collaboration with multiple stakeholders and peers is very important. The role reports into the Head of Performance Controlling and provides a close communication with the Finance Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive digitalization of processes and reports in BPC supported by digitalization teams in GB&I and HQ
  • Leads GB&I Productivity Controlling with participation in cost saving projects/initiatives
  • Finance Partner for all Operating Expenses (c£75m) including planning, controlling and reporting as well as approval of Purchase Orders with special focus on support functions and SG&A
  • Key responsibility to conduct monthly reviews for all cost centre managers
  • Oversee GB&I Headcount Reporting and Controlling including recruitment plans and attrition
  • Management of all corporate allocations including ensuring adherence to budget; understanding changes in service/price as well as preparing and coordinating signature for contractual changes or additions to long service agreements (LSAs)
  • Maintain GB&I Cost Allocations model, understands cost drivers, monitors variances and refines model for GB&I based on allocation keys
  • Oversee the end to end process for all global employees hosted in GB&I including legal agreement creation, budget creation, monitoring of costs, and cross charging
  • Ensure business compliance with Siemens Financial Reporting guidelines and IFRS accounting guidelines including preparation of controls
  • Ad-hoc Activities e.g. GB&I Balance Sheet and FCF Controlling, preparation of leadership meetings, digitalization projects outside of BPC

Skills & Experience:

  • Passionate, self-motivated with a growth mindset
  • Comfortable to work with senior management
  • Enjoy collaborating and can work effectively in teams to find innovative solutions
  • Ability to set priorities, can overcome obstacles and willingness to learn from mistakes
  • High Analytical skills and very proficient in the use of MS Excel and MS Powerpoint
  • Experience with Big Data and drawing valuable insights from large volumes of data
  • Passion for Digitalization in Finance and learning new tools e.g. KNIME, Power BI, Power Automate, UI Path

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience in an FP&A role/dept.
  • Qualified or part qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) would be beneficial
