Eaton Corporation located in Jackson, MS has an opening for a Financial Analyst Intern. The Hydraulics Systems Division (HSD) of Eaton Aerospace has an opening for a Financial Analyst Intern supporting the Jackson Operation. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Controller to ensure that the financial statements and reporting of the plant accurately represent the financial and operational activities of the business. The position will interact on a daily basis with various levels of management within the plant. Key participant in the month end close process, preparing accurate, timely journal entries. Owner of several significant balance sheet items - performs reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to be kept up-to-date on a monthly basis. Key member of customer centric finance team, producing month-end reports for use by management. Assists financial reporting by analyzing monthly expenditures, comparing to prior forecasts and budgets. Assists the controller by forecasting future expenses and balances. Completes customer credit memo analysis and reporting. Completes year-end financial and tax reporting. Participates in monthly cycle count audits. Performs ad-hoc analysis as requested. Analyzes sales commissions and airline incentives. Completes annual surveys for government agencies. Reconciles payroll sub-ledger to Oracle G/L. Performs hourly and salary vacation analysis. Enters invoices in Markview system for approval and payment. Prepares monthly departmental expense reports. Performs Construction In Process Reviews (CIP). Qualifications Basic Qualification Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Finance or Accounting. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (please don't round). Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located within 50 miles of Jackson, MI This position requires the use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
