The Opportunity:
As a key member of the AIA Australia Transformation & Project Office, this role works closely with Stakeholders in the PMO, Technology, Business and Change community.
The role is critical to support the financial planning, budgeting, reporting and analysis of AIA Projects on an ongoing basis across multiple project portfolios and with multiple stakeholders. This opportunity will enable the successful candidate to significant build on your financial and commercial acumen. This is a Melbourne based role.
To do this successfully you will:
- Support the development and implementation of the benefits framework, models, and outputs for Portfolio. Embed across the business in a way that they can be realised. Work in collaboration with the Optimisation team to ensure alignment of benefit realisation framework across Portfolio and optimisation.
- Support PMO and Strategy to inform overall enterprise prioritization and affiliated budget requirements. Participate in strategy definition and other related activities, as required
- Support the analysis regarding charge out rates with Finance to ensure more appropriate rates are used for the portfolio.
- Support the continuous improvement of financial and benefit governance processes alongside the Consulting Standards Manager / Analyst
- Be an active advocate to help people understand how each project and program helps achieve our AIA strategic plan and our broader purpose to make a difference in people’s lives.
- Support the continual uplift of project disciplines, business stakeholder engagement and collaboration with technology to enhance cost and benefit delivery of projects and program.
Successful applications will demonstrate:
- Experience working in a PMO environment with a focus on financial project accounting within PMO.
- Demonstrated abilities to manage the timeline of deliverables whilst meeting stakeholders’ expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve financial problems, queries and issues, being proactive in navigating organisation to resolve.
- Previous experience as a member of multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience and demonstrated understanding of iterative development, software development cycle and methodology and delivery.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor and assist peers pertaining to financial management of projects and portfolio.
- Demonstrated communications skills, both verbal & written with staff at all levels. Proven experience presenting, supporting and facilitating workshops/training with stakeholders at all levels.
