Position Title:  Financial Controller (reports to Financial Director – EEMEAP)

Main responsibilities:

• Participate in the development of short- and long-term strategies, objectives, plans and co-ordinate the implementation of agreed financial plans in all areas of the Company.
• Develop Financial and logistics plans in accordance with the long -term strategic plan.
• Management of people including supporting the rest of the business.
• Prepare, coordinate and report the divisional monthly results to local and Area management for South Africa and “other” Africa
• Ensure compliance with all internal as well as external policies and procedures including FCPA, IFRS, compliance and quality.
• Provide key support to senior management in providing plan, update and LBE input.  (Including sales forecasting process.)
• Manage all processes related to Order Entry, purchasing and logistics
• Ensure monitoring of DSO and receivables in line with approved plans/updates
• Ensure capital purchases (RCE) and HC reporting in line with procedures and plans/updates.
• Support management in decision making by contributing and assisting as Finance partner. Give advice and ensure proactive participation.
• Utilize Performance Excellence to set expectations, give feedback and coach in developing employees.
• Provide financial, order entry and logistics support to other divisions.
• Ensure compliance with Financial Procedures relating to requests for Capital of a financial nature and conducting post completion audits of all financially justified requests.
• Develop Basic Operating Procedures for all functions and ensure that they are updated on a regular basis.
• Ensure compliance with all Quality and ISO requirements on an ongoing basis
• Prepare, coordinate and complete various submissions by due date both locally and to Area.
• Ensure monthly recons are completed and are clear and concise.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERTISE:

Education:

• A qualified CA (SA) majoring in Accounting, Commerce or related.
• Additional CIMA qualification would be advantageous

Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience within a snr Financial Analyst or related role.
• Ideally has had line management experience
• Has worked within a Multi-national organization.
• Must have advanced excel skills.
