Financial Instrument Subject Matter Expert

Job Description
As part of the Investment & Trading Platforms (ITP) team in APAC, you will be a Subject Matter Expert for the Instrument Competence Centre (ICC) which is a global function headquartered in Zurich. Instrument Competence Center is responsible for services related to financial instrument data: This includes instrument sourcing, data management, price verification, data distribution, etc. This serves as an instrument repository for the discretionary & advisory business of Wealth Management and Swiss Bank and is critical for the APAC Wealth Management business.
We are looking for person to:
• be an APAC contact for ICC and manage and ensure platform stability including supporting system releases through production verification, and addressing run-the-bank queries in a timely manner.
• perform enrichment, validation and distribution of data (products, financial instruments, model portfolios)
• perform sourcing and validation of pricing time series data and key figures of Discretionary/Advisory instrument universe, and perform regular tests, reconciliations and ad-hoc analysis to improve data quality of instrument universe
• incident ownership, management and remediation of issues related to the ICC platforms to support stakeholders/ systems involved in the Discretionary & Advisory investment process
• understand the end to end data/process flows from/to other platforms and serve as the APAC subject matter expert for all queries related these and other topics such as licensing and data quality
• analyse and help remediate Instrument data quality issues with our Operations and Vendor partners
• analyze business requirements, assess impact to platforms/capabilities and specify system change requirements and provide project management support for the delivery of platforms-related projects
• be part of the UBS global competence center for consistent risk classification of financial instruments.
• analyse processes to identify issue root causes, business impact, cost benefit and improvement opportunities
• ensure compliance of solutions and/or processes with bank's policies, standards and regulatory requirements
