Eaton’s Corporate Sector is currently seeking a Financial Planning Specialist to join our team. This position can be based at any of the following locations; Beachwood OH, Moon Twp PA, Dallas TX, Irvine CA, Galesburg MI, Highland IL, Syracuse NY, Arden NC, Charlotte NC, Ft Worth TX, or Tualatin OR. Flexible, hybrid work schedule is also available. Position Overview: This position is responsible for the management, dissemination, and data integrity of key financial information. Key responsibilities are providing Electrical Sector Management with the first look at the financial state of the business and preparing reports for Sector Management that provide a detailed analysis and understanding of business results measured against Plan, previous forecast, and prior year. This position is relied upon by the Sector Management team for insights into key financial metrics and works across functions and groups/divisions to develop and deliver timely and accurate financial information. In this function you will: Support the ENCORE monthly financial reporting process in order to provide high quality, timely, and flawlessly accurate information to the Electrical Sector COO and CFO. Prepare, verify, and analyze for reasonableness various monthly reporting. Produce accurate and sensitive financial data in very short turnaround time conditions to achieve reporting requirements of Sector Management and deliver on or before stated deadlines. Establish and maintain collaborative and highly effective working partnerships with the Electrical Sector Business Finance teams in order to ensure that business results and associated issues are understood and can be accurately communicated to Sector Management. This communication ensures that Sector Management has a detailed analysis and understanding of financial state of the segments and divisions. Support the preparation of ad hoc presentations at the request of Sector Management to be used in meetings with the business presidents and the Senior Leadership Council. Back up for supporting the preparation of the monthly and quarterly Board of Directors presentation. Support the preparation of high quality, timely and flawlessly accurate quarter-end analyses that support and facilitate the external earnings release through financial reference information for the CEO/CFO during the external earnings release webcast, and analysis of organic growth compared to competitors. Support the Operations Finance team on consolidated reporting and analysis as it relates to Electrical Sector operating performance. Support the annual preparation of the Electrical Sector profit plan including: coordinating with the Electrical groups, consolidating reports and preparing the presentation for the CEO/CFO review. Produce accurate ad-hoc data and / or analysis in very short turnaround time conditions to immediate Manager and Sector Management. Electrical Sector lead on Operations Finance team finance transformation goals. Work collaboratively with the Industrial Sector Finance team to ensure consistency in reporting to Eaton Senior Management Why work at Eaton? Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required 3 years of financial planning and analysis experience required. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Beachwood, OH, Moon Twp PA, Irvine CA, Galesburg MI, Highland IL, Syracuse NY, Arden NC, Charlotte NC, Ft Worth TX, or Tualatin OR will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred qualifications: Finance / accounting background, and broad business experience preferred FP&A experience in a manufacturing company or other large global company Technically proficient in Longview Solutions (preferred) and Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of Eaton’s corporate structure, segments, accounting and financial policies, corporate calculations, and financial performance metrics Position Criteria: Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work with all levels, functions, and personalities within the organization, including Executive Management and Sector Finance. Excellent analytical skills to determine “root-cause” issues and to develop and recommend best possible resolution. Able to prioritize multiple requests and / or issues and multi-task to resolve the issues while meeting all stated deadlines within very short turnaround time conditions.
