Energy Solutions & Services (ESS), Electrical Sector-Americas The Energy Solution and Services (ESS) Group of Eaton’s Electrical Sector produces multibillion dollar revenue and consists of three divisions - Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure, Power Systems, and our Electrical Engineering Solution and Services. This organization offers electrical products, services and solutions to customers & market segments. The industries serviced include, data center, commercial and industrial businesses as well as utility, mining and other renewal energy industries. The three divisions within ESS each has its unique set of core competencies serving a specific market segment. Each division is striving to drive growth and innovation through its existing products and solutions and is taking on critical strategic initiatives in the areas of digitalization and energy transition. Within ESS, there are also several strategic acquisitions completed in recent years. These acquired businesses added a great value to our overall portfolio enabling our profitable growth objectives. THE POSITION and THE EXPERIENCE This position could be based in Pittsburgh PA, Waukesha WI, or Raleigh NC. Reporting to the VP Finance of the Energy Solutions and Services (ESS) Group, the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Leader will work collaboratively with each Division’s finance and accounting leadership team to effectively complete monthly reporting, financial analysis, forecasting cycles, operating reviews, as well as the annual profit and plans. Work in a team environment with other financial colleagues to streamline and drive improvement in financial processes through education, tools/systems, automation and standardization. Build organizational capability through helping to develop the skills of the FP&A function by assessing people, processes, and technology. Essential functions include: Partner with the ESS VP Finance to provide well thought out analytics of business results and areas of opportunity with actions that will drive results to profit plan. Partner with Division FP&A teams to provide insightful analysis of ESS results. Analyze commercial and operational financial data, investigate, and explain variances, identify business drivers and evaluate their impact on planned objectives. Coordinate all business level planning and reporting activities including monthly results, monthly rolling forecast, profit planning, strategic planning, and operating review requirements. Partner with sector-level leadership to ensure on develop a reporting cadence. Assist in the development of annual profit plans for the business including P&L, balance sheet, cost savings, capital spending and headcount. Support/lead process improvement projects. Prepare, analyze and communicate analysis for monthly reviews using strategic mindset. Coordinate with shared services group to organize and deliver appropriate management reports to the business’ leadership team. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution. Minimum 8 or more years’ experience, ideally including a combination of financial planning, analysis, and performance reporting in a manufacturing/plant environment. Experience coordinating business-level planning and reporting activities including monthly results, monthly rolling forecast, profit planning, strategic planning, and operating review requirements. You will have worked in a multibillion-dollar revenue, complex, matrixed environment and be an action-oriented critical thinker. Reporting financial results to executive level leaders with regular cadence. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: CPA, CMA Strong systems skills/experience desired: SAP Financials, HFM Strong understanding of US GAAP. Ability to prepare, analyze and interpret financial and operations analyses/reports. Intermediate to expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office. Since this role can be based in other locations, Eaton recognizes compensation requirements may be higher or lower in some geographies and will adjust the range accordingly.
