The Midwest Zone as part of the Siemens Smart Infrastructure, Regional Solutions and Services Americas (SI RSS) Business Unit is seeking a Financial Reporting and Planning Analyst (RPA). The RPA drives and leads all Budget and Forecast processes efficiently and in charge of all consolidated reporting. The collaboration with peers in the finance team, Zone Management, Branch General Managers, Sales Managers, Operations Managers and the Business Unit Headquarter requires a lot of personal interaction and very good communication skills. This is an excellent opportunity right at the heart of the business.

Position Summary:
  • Compiles disclosure and financial data for use by senior management in meetings and discussions with Division Management
  • Generates monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, including development of accurate, compelling and comprehensive written communications/presentations for internal and external audiences
  • Reviews and summarizes analyst reports, competitive financial analysis and aggregates information from various financial data sources
  • Is responsible for all planning and forecasting processes, ensures timeliness and data quality
  • Is responsible for SG&A spending in the branches, including analysis and forecasting
  • Supports Zone Management/Branch Finance Directors with ad hoc analysis and other tasks
  • Compares the Zone’s actuals/forecasts, provides analysis
Required Skills/Knowledge, Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance
  • Proven profound financial knowledge with strong focus on earnings, financial reporting and business analysis
  • Proven ability to quickly develop understanding of business characteristics
  • Proven excellent writing and presentation skills
  • 3+ years of proven experience in finance or accounting
  • Proven experience in Software Industry a strong plus, preferably industrial software
  • Skills in cutting edge analytics/visualization tools preferred
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
  • Normal office environment
  • Occasional travel is required
