• As well as discovering, mining and processing many of the essential raw materials that enable, support and enhance modern life, our global business is involved in selling and marketing products – copper, platinum and other precious metals, iron ore, coal, nickel and diamonds. Through our Marketing Business, we are able to offer innovative solutions to meet our customers’ specific challenges. This includes physical products, logistics and technical support, as well as pricing and financing solutions. 

• Provide thought leadership in ferrous market developments and trading strategies.
• Conduct complex market analyses and provide advisory to trading team.
• Execute onshore market trades upon trading team’s requirements.
• Develop hedging strategies for different types of physical iron ore e.g. pellet.
• Innovate trading strategies relating to global influences on commodity markets.
• Design and build models on quantitative, technical, fundamental and volatility trading strategies.
• Process and verify the integrity of data used for analysis.
• Develop scalable machine learning components to generalize models to other data sources, commodities, or financial instruments.
• Benchmark, back-test and stress-test models to identify true sensitivities and risks.
• Calibrate models on improvement opportunities.
• Provide advisory to trading desks on the model's correct usage and conclusions.

• Strong understanding in iron ore & steel industry and the associating global drivers that will impact the iron ore & steel markets.
• Well versed in derivatives products and data analytics.
• Strong understanding and application of risk management principles.
• Strong programming skills and experience in building models.
• Exceptional analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient presentation skill to demonstrate on trading strategies.
