Firmware Engineer Location: Praha – Roztoky / CZ Your main duties : Participates on FW development within international project team Develops and maintains the Board Support Package for product hardware during the development and life cycle Develops and maintains Linux kernel adaptions during product development and life cycle Updates BSP and Linux components with respect to cyber-security findings Evaluates firmware real-time correctness after changes Conducts work status reporting and task tracking Stays current with the latest technologies applies advanced engineering principles, theories and concepts Understanding of HW (schematics, basic principles) Communicates with other team members, presents results Qualifications What we are looking for: Preferred: University degree qualification in software or electrical engineering or equivalent experience Solid embedded C programming knowledge and 5+ years of experience Ability to demonstrate problem solving using logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions, using cross-disciplinary design Linux kernel and driver development knowledge BSP (u-boot, device tree) development experience Knowledge and experience with SW development tools (repositories, bug tracking tools, code analysis tools, task tracking tools…) Ability to provide technical lead to junior colleagues Pursues education/learning opportunities to fill knowledge gaps Fluent in oral and written English What we offer: • At Eaton, we aspire to be a model of inclusion and diversity in our industry – a place where everyone matters and everyone belongs.
