Who are we?

Intel Vision Technology Group (VTG), Intel’s Computer Vision Center of Excellence, is looking for an outstanding SW Engineer to join our Autonomous Mobile Robotics (AMR) R&D team. 

Our R&D team is focused on developing and introducing state-of-the-art AMR vision sensors and platforms that sets the stage for groundbreaking innovations that will enable our partners to power up and boost industrial and operational robotics automation. 

 We are a team of Software Engineers, developing the full span of the next generation AMR SW sensors and platforms, beginning with the FW, through drivers, open-source SDKs and hybrid cloud solutions. 

What will you do?

We’re looking for a Linux Kernel and Driver engineer professional to join our AMR Camera team that develops cutting-edge firmware, kernel drivers and applications.

Our SW runs on top our AMR 3D Stereo depth cameras and integrates with our open-source SDK libraries.

We build our cameras from scratch, and hence you will enjoy the opportunity to work closely with our FW, AMR platform and System teams.

You will be challenged with issues both new to market as well as not fully addressed or solved through vanilla Linux drivers or kernel. 


Qualifications

What are we looking for?

  • Degree from a known and formal institute
  • 8 years of experience in developing in C and C++ for an embedded system with deep understanding and hands on experience with Multi-threaded software development and debug
  • Hands on experience with Linux drivers and kernel development
  • Curious, effective developer with a good understanding of systems as a whole

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Python
  • Familiarity with Linux software development environment
  • Serial drivers/protocols like i2c, GPIO, SPI
  • Experience with USB or MIPI/CSI2 protocols/standards
