Floor Care Technician (Overnight into morning)

We are looking for a team member with an eye for detail, who will maintain floor surfaces and sustain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. You will perform scheduled floor care tasks, projects, and assist with the overall housekeeping operations.

What you will be doing:

• Maintain friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward guests, clients and co-workers. Is responsive to guest needs
• Utilize electrical motorized floor equipment for routine maintenance of resilient floors and carpets
• Provide routine cleaning maintenance of all equipment used
• Perform Projects as instructed by Housekeeping management, including but not limited to;
• Carpet extraction, encapsulation, bonneting, and spotting
• Hard floor stripping, waxing, burnishing, polishing and scrubbing
• Marble polishing
• Arrange and clean furniture, fixtures, equipment
• Perform and/or report minor maintenance repairs and any damages
• Report all faulty equipment promptly
• Keep inventory controls
• Maintain closets in a clean, organized and safe manner
• Maintain equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition
• Perform proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals
• Identify and correct safety hazards and abide by safety rules
• Assist housekeeping attendants with their duties
• Perform other tasks as assigned
• Overnight shift (3:00AM to 11:30AM) may include week days, weekends, and holidays

Your experience and skills include:

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role required
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment, cleaning materials, and techniques required
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently, required
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English via radio system
• Knowledge of hard floor and carpet detail projects

Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to:

• Physically demanding position
• Constant standing and walking throughout the shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs or ramps

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents.
