What you will be doing:  

• Provide on-the-floor supervision and support to employees and coach and develop them to ensure Fairmont gold standards are being maintained
• Work hand in hand with the Fairmont Gold Manager to ensure the food and berage service provided is alligned with the front office services
• Be involved with ongoing menu/wine/cocktail development for the Fairmont Gold Lounge in order to increase sales and provide elevated service to guests
• Have a good understanding of day-to-day expectations, tasks and operations as well as forethought to upcoming events
• Review guest comments, respond to any concerns in a timely and professional fashion
• Understand both the In-Room Dining financial goals and the Fairmont Gold offerings when it comes to F&B
• Handle guest concerns, reacting quickly and professionally
• Ensure that service essentials, steps of service and brand standards are being followed by the team
• Coach and train the in-room dining team and key members to provide a level of service based on Fairmont Gold standards
• Other duties as assigned

Your experience and skills include:

• Must have 1 year previous experience as a Leader in Food & Beverage; preferably in upscale environment. airlines VIP lounge or executive lounge experience will be considered an asset
• Must have pro-serve certification and POS system experience
• Wine knowledge at or above WSET Level 2 an asset
• Diploma or Degree in Hospitality/Hotel Administration an asset
• A passion for food & wine
• Schedule flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 20+lbs and able to constantly stand and walk throughout shift
