What you will be doing:
- Provide on-the-floor supervision and support to employees and coach and develop them to ensure standards are being maintained
- Be involved with ongoing menu/wine/cocktail development
- Have a good understanding of day-to-day expectations, tasks and operations as well as forethought to upcoming events
- Review guest comments, respond to any concerns in a timely and professional fashion
- Understand both the restaurant’s and the hotel’s financial goals to achieve superior long-term financial returns to our shareholders
- Handle guest concerns, reacting quickly and professionally
- Ensure that service essentials, steps of service and brand standards are being followed by the team
- Other duties as assigned
Your experience and skills include:
- Must have 1 year previous experience as a Leader in Food & Beverage; preferably in a full service hotel or upscale restaurant
- Must have pro-serve certification and POS system experience
- Wine knowledge at or above WSET Level 2 an asset
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality/Hotel Administration an asset
- A passion for food & wine
- Schedule flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20+lbs and able to constantly stand and walk throughout shift
