We are recruiting for the newly created position of Departmental Trainer for Food & Beverage. This position will be suited for an experienced F&B operations ambassador, who has a passion for training and development, as well as Brand Quality. The role is 100% training. The primary responsibility of the role will be the training of newly hired ambassadors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support and develop a team of passionate and caring hotel Ambassadors
- Implement and monitor training in Brand Standards and Environment Standards to meet hotel goals and targets
- Build a culture that fosters learning and enables skills and capabilities in our teams
- The focus will be on departmental induction, on-boarding, on the job training and brand standards training for that particular department & role
- Re-training of existing ambassadors to lift their performance to meet the brand standard
- Organise schedules to conduct on-job training of new ambassadors and existing ambassadors
- Create and implement monthly departmental training plan
- Identify operational training needs based on guest and ambassador feedback, create the training and deliver it.
- Ensure that all new ambassadors have received their individual departmental induction checklists and are receiving ongoing check point training feedback from their Manager / Supervisor
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
What skills and experience do you need to be successful in your application?
- Experience at a Shift Leader/Supervisor level
- A genuine passion in assisting and supporting other Ambassadors
- Be generous in sharing their experiences and knowledge, empowering others to learn
- A caring and approachable nature allowing others to collaborate with you
- Knowledgeable in the department processes, procedures and standards
- Willing and capable of learning new skills and practises
- Passionate and supportive in embracing change
- Able to work shift work and rotational roster to meet the needs of the operation. This is not a Monday - Friday role.
