REQUIREMENT OF THE ROLE
Pullman Auckland Hotel & Apartments
is proud to be operating as a Managed Isolation Facility supporting the New Zealand boarder team to host self-isolating guests.
Our obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 is to take all reasonable, practicable steps to eliminate, or otherwise control, known risks. Therefore, we operate in a level 4 environment at all times. With full PPE and WHS protocols in place.
To apply for this role all applicants must have or be willing to receive the COVID19 Vaccination upon commencing employment. Working at New Zealand’s border at this time is a high-risk working environment, and the COVID-19 vaccination provides a significant additional control to protect our people, their loved ones, and the wider community against the virus.
Successful candidates must also be willing to undertake mandatory COVID-19 swab every 14 days
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
•Responsible for the efficient running of the shift.
•Leading the shift in the absence of supervisor.
•Supervise & lead the room service when required.
•Ensuring all guest queries, feedback and concerns are actioned appropriately.
•Liaising with all hotel departments, to ensure all necessary follow up is conducted.
•Ensuring all staff are comply with Workplace Health & Safety and PPE regulations
•Drive Workplace Health and Safety within your team and be part of Workplace Health and Safety committee.
Work Experience
•Previous experience working in a managed isolation facility or busy Food & Beverage Operations.
•Previous experience in a Team Leader or Supervisory Food & Beverage role.
•Be willing to undergo a COVID19 Swab test every 14 days.
•Strong interpersonal, communication, organisational and problem solving skills.
•Ability to efficiently run and supervise Room Service when required.
•Ability to work under pressure with a ‘Can do’ attitude and a high level of energy
•Ability to work a rotating roster – including weekends, public holidays and all shifts (ranging from 6am start and Midnight finish).
•Diploma in Hospitality Management preferred.
