Product development

• Monitor and manage the whole sample development process (from proto to SMS, size set and PP etc.) and ensure sample on-time delivery with required quality

• Plan, organize and lead the internal proto / SMS testing preview meeting and proto-vendor review meeting

• Evaluate supplier’s quotation and actively negotiate product prices, MOQs, delivery terms etc. with footwear suppliers to ensure the best competitivenes

• Proactive communication and cooperation with IIC / Direct customers and suppliers in product developmeny

• Communicate the tech pack to the relevant vendor

• On-going coaching and training of suppliers with regards to IIC standards, requirements and norms and regulation

• Reference product information in PLM and SAP (such as prices, incoterms, factory codes etc.) and ensure the correctness of the data

Production preparation and follow up

• If required, work with the supplier to ensure material is booked for production based on the provided forecasts and company instructions

• Ensure the relevant product tests are initiated and carried out in timely manner and that they are judged within the commercial context

• Review samples and make correct and complete comments to facilitate production according to INTERSPORT’s standards and requirements

• Prepare complete and accurate case file and arrange pre-production handover to QC via QC briefing meeting

• Effectively communicate with internal cross functions (QC/Material team/OPD), customers and suppliers to solve problem when encounter issues of product quality and delivery

• Follow-up and monitor production status (WIP) to reach an on-time delivery. Negotiate solutions to avoid delay of shipments and inform OPD and IIC accordingly

Requirements:

• College degree and above, major in footwear development is prefer.

• Good command of oral & written English.

• Knowledge of the set up and processes of footwear factories: organization, production process, efficiency, lead times, etc.

• Knowledge of footwear production with strong emphasis on production techniques and workmanship construction of functional footwear

• Knowledge of all factors affecting product pricing. Knowlege in costing management.
