We are currently recruiting for a Forecast and Demand Planner to join us in Siemens Rolling Stock in Goole. In this role, you will manage the forecasting and demand requirements to support Siemens Mobility rolling stock requirements for depots, repair, and overhaul facilities. You will have ownership of the forecasting system, processes, parameters to ensure we have the right materials at the right time in the right quantity and that materials are available at the designated production/maintenance facility to meet the requirements of the maintenance or repair operation. You will participate in the evaluation of supplier performance and drive demand performance KPI’s utilizing and producing regular analytics to demonstrate forecasting and demand controls in line with targets. This is your role Act a as lead and expert in the field of forecasting and demand planning and accurately report into the relevant business functions Be responsible for maintaining the stock performance based on forecast, inventory, and replenishment planning activities Develop the forecasting process and look at continuously improving processes Ensure optimum inventory levels across warehouse, depots and repair facilities are maintained within the targets Be responsible for development and maintenance of parameters for the Demand and Supply core systems Investigate and resolve demand issues, provide feedback to the wider business as needed Monitor and produce monthly KPI reports from the appropriate forecasting system for the performance of Rolling Stock materials What skills and experience you will need Previous experience in a forecast and demand planning position Detailed knowledge for forecasting principles, inventory policy, demand profiles Good knowledge of IT systems/software Rail specific forecasting and demand planning background is preferred but not essential Syncron IM system experience (essential) Planned Event Module (PEM) Syncron IM (preferred) About us We’re Siemens.
