Responsibilities:
Teach lessons online or face to face which follow the humanities and social science curriculum and focus on critical reading and writing.
Facilitate students to explore and identify intellectual interests through taking the lessons.
Design creative ways to assess effectiveness of teaching and curriculum.
Build a warm and inclusive online class environment, implementing the practices of Harkness method or other teaching methods.
Two to Ten teaching hours per week preferred

Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree or higher in humanities and arts majors from an accredited American institution
Ability to work effectively with middle school and high school students
Enthusiasm for helping younger students reach their potential
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong English reading and writing ability

Qualifications Desired
Teaching experience in literature, history, social studies, or their equivalents
Understanding of, and familiarity with, learning of humanities and social studies in American secondary schools
Post-secondary degree in areas including but not limited to English, literature, creative writing, history, and philosophy
Curriculum development experience
Experience working with middle school or high school students in China
Chinese language ability preferred
