Essential Functions and Duties:

Responsible for supporting the daily tactical activities of Lam’s China export and import compliance programs. This is achieved by ensuring that operational compliance requirements and business objectives are achieved along with assisting with Foreign Trade and cross-functional projects, as required.

Support Lam’s export and import control infrastructure by:

• Commodity code classification review and assessment of China imports and handbook(s), including but not limited to CIQ, CCC, and Encryption requirements.
• Assess and identify high risk areas, including China dual use determination and classification
• Recommend and execute corrective actions for classification updates and handbook updates
• Support new import classification opportunities for Lam depot
• Review and enhance import classification procedure, as appropriate
• Process daily export and import operational transactions including SAP GTS order releases
• Provide employee education and training, audit core business functions and offer recommendations for process improvement
• Participating in projects, internal and cross-functional, relating to export and import activities
• Providing excellent customer service for internal and external customers; diplomatic interaction with all levels
• Processing and supporting China and applicable US export licenses

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• 5 years of demonstrated experience in import and/or export classification roles dealing with China Customs and other government agencies
• Knowledge of China export and import operations including China Customs, CIQ & MOFCOM regulations and requirements
• Experience with BLP, EPZ, and other special processing zones in China a plus
• Experience with SAP and SAP GTS module a plus
