Language teachers are multi-skilled professional teachers who play a key role at CICE to educate our freshmen and sophomores. CICE is revolutionary in many ways including hiring an American as Director of International Staff and following an integrated approach where the main four subjects of Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking all use the same textbook and the four teachers work together to improve student’s overall education. Some of the teachers (if qualified) may teach additional classes including History, Culture, Novels, Business, Economics and Communication. CICE teachers are not only involved in teaching but also join in other activities such as a foreign language corner, Chinese classes, cultural seminars, countryside trips, and preparing students for English contests. Our staff enjoy variety in their careers and contribute to build a rich environment on our campus.
Entry Requirements:
Candidates should have (be)
1. A bachelor's degree or above from a recognized university, or the equivalent thereof
2. 25 years old or above
3. At least two years of teaching experience with good communication skills; he or she should also possess a strong sense of responsibility, be a team player, and should not have bad habits such as alcoholism, drug addiction, or selfishess.
(Remark: We would prefer candidates from English speaking countries with a degree in English, or business or with business teaching experiences. Those who are not from English speaking countries must possess a TESOL/TEFL certificate. )
Incentives:
Master/ PhD: 4500-5000 RMB
Bachelor: 4000-4500 RMB
Airfare: 5000-10000 RMB for a full year
The normal teaching workload is 16 periods per week. Each period is 40 minutes. We will pay an additional 80 RMB for each period over 16 each week. Moreover, we provide a spacious 2-room apartment and will cover all visa costs. We will also provide you travel bonuses of 1100 RMB per semester. For the new comers who signed a year long contract with us, we will provide a 1000 RMB settling-in fee when you arrive for the first time.
Accommodation:
We will provide a free apartment with a balcony, western toilet, kitchen, Internet access, air conditioners, washing machine, microwave oven, refrigerator, wardrobe, desk and other common household facilities. We also offer you 100 KW/H of free electricity and 10 m3 of living water each month.
