Job Description
Eaton’s VGNA division is currently seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Aguascalientes Engine Valve Facility. The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer is focused on developing and improving manufacturing processes for new and existing products. Some activities related with the position will be: Leads the creation of manufacturing processes, routings, and drawings Leads cross functional Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) teams Coordinates development of gaging and control plans for manufactured products Investigate, analyze, and recommend new and/or alternate equipment and manufacturing methods Procure equipment and tooling per project plan and standards Manage suppliers to ensure on time execution of projects Manage capital and expense spending for assigned projects Evaluate and verify processes and tool designs developed by peers Recommend and implement improvements to existing manufacturing operations Prepare financial justification for projects in support of CAR analysis Coordinates execution of project deliverables #LI-VIT1 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly processes, equipment technology, equipment capability, basic machine tool concepts, and product quality requirements for error free final product Good decision making and communication skills Capable of multi-tasking for multiple project assignments Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications: Lean Manufacturing Principles CNC Programming CAD - 3D Modeling Professional experience in Manufacturing Engineering (Relevant Processes) Automated Material Handling Coating process Grinding (Centerless, OD, ID) Machining (CNC Turning) Metal Forming Welding Surface Treatments Heat Treatment Position Success Criteria: Promote a CI culture, thru teamwork, standardization and behavioral coaching, ensuring a constant safety focus Interpersonal communication skills and leadership development ability Functional Competencies: Manufacturing equipment and process design Process improvement and problem solving Capital equipment procurement and implementation Industrialization of new products by process design and implementation We make what matters work.
