Eaton’s Electrical Power Systems division is currently seeking a Forklift Operator/Inventory Material Handler – 2nd Shift to join our team! The hourly rate starts at $18.70/hr + $1.25/hr shift premium, depending on experience. The hours for this position are from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm. This position is based at our Badger Drive facility in Waukesha, WI. This position is offering a sign-on bonus of $2,000*, less applicable withholding. *Bonus terms: Bonuses are being offered for a limited time only. Applications must be submitted on or after February 10th, 2023 to qualify. Bonuses are only applicable to specific job types and shifts; additional terms and conditions may apply. Associates must be employed at the time of the payout. Bonuses will be payable in two installments: $1,000, less applicable withholding will be paid after three (3) months of employment and the remaining $1,000, less applicable withholding will be paid after nine (9) months of employment Why work at Eaton? The candidate will compile and verify stock records against source documents, ship end products, load and unload, move material to places within and outside of the plant, all while performing under minimal supervision. In this function you will: Count, sort, compile record and inventory quantities, types of materials received, stored and issued in plants. You will also prepare material for storage. Unpack and examine incoming shipments; notify supervisor of damaged items, record storage and correspond with shippers. Empty core steel hoppers in Final Assembly. Collect, fill and deliver bins to production areas. Haul out old pallets. Receive and put away cores and coils as needed. Load/unload trucks and pallets as needed, using hand and power equipment. Drive a narrow aisle stacker or 6,000 lb. Jeep, scale count material from a table as well as a floor scale, allowing for tare tolerances when necessary. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Waukesha, WI facility. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred qualifications: Minimum of six (6) months experience operating material handling equipment. Position Success Criteria: Ability to work overtime when required.
