Responsible for identifying and researching component failures to improve product yield, quality and/or reliability.
Evaluates the electrical and mechanical characteristics of integrated circuits, components, subcomponents, and systems to determine the root cause of failure.
Analyzes failure reports and recommends corrective action to prevent reoccurrence of problems.
Uses all standard electronic test equipment (digital/analog) such as Logic analyzer, ICE, ITPO oscilloscope and test systems to do board failure analysis and debug.
May support new product transfer and startup and the automation and improvement of the failure analysis process.
Strives to proliferate shared learning across sites.
Maintain necessary records and reports.
Performs other related duties as required or as directed.
This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
MS or PhD degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science.
A minimum of 1 year lab experience in one of the following areas:
Fault Isolation, Focused Ion Beam (FIB), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Scanning Acoustic Microscopy (SAM), X-ray Microscopy (XRM).
Candidate must possess the degree by employment start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
6+ months demonstrated in-depth understanding of analytical equipment and semiconductor process flow operation.
6+ months knowledge of basic statistics and scripting.
