As Franchise Head –  Respiratory & Immunology in Finland, you will become part of one of AstraZeneca’s strong key growth platforms.  

The role 

As Franchise Head, you will manage P&L through business planning & forecasting in collaboration with BIM and VP/Director, BBU. You develop long range franchise plan & strategic priorities, including appropriate resource planning and assignment of responsibilities within team. 

It includes driving strong executional excellence to deliver sales results through robust account planning, coaching and KPI management. You also lead the franchise team to ensure strong collaboration across the cross-functional team, alignment to brand strategies and tactical plans and delivery of results.  

What you will do 

  • Leads Robust planning, analysis and strategic development to ensure successful launch of new products with franchise
  • Coach, lead and develop team of Brand Managers and SAMs and ensure strong engagement across franchise 
  • Develops local forecast with solid understanding of P&L, assumptions, insights/trends and solid resource and budget management to deliver on P&L 
  • Ensures strategic integration of expanding portfolio and synergies across portfolio 
  • Develops local strategy (based on Global strategy) and localized Brand plans including launch plan development & management of launch plan/performance reviews 
  • Directly supervise, support prioritization and delegation of tasks to Brand Managers and sales team  
  • Ensures continuous focus on excellence and innovation together with the IBEX function  
  • Engages proactively above market with global/regional team and other markets to facilitate best practice learnings and ensure quality deliverables 
  • Builds detailed local operational plans, designing idea concepts, content & activities and designing overall marketing mix including digital and omni-channel strategy 
  • Drives and executes implementation of the brand plan activities & brand KPIs through close collaboration with cross functional partners 
  • Develops relevant communication & campaign material, manages external agencies and ensures sign-off  
  • Delivers results by ensuring excellence in execution of Sales team and strong collaboration with PC Sales team 
  • Ensures coaching and training of sales team to optimize performance and that account planning and activities are optimized to deliver strong growth 
  • Assures tasks are in accordance with written procedures and current legal requirements  
  • Develops and manage relationships with KEEs in collaboration with Medical, Market Access and Sales 
  • Working with GAMA partners, ensures policy shaping activites and market access to support growth of portfolio

We are looking for you who holds a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, e.g. in Marketing. Previous proven success in launching products into competitive environments as well as previous biologics (severe asthma, rheumatology ect) experience are a strong advantage. 

Essential requirements 

  • Strong pharmaceutical experience in therapy area   
  • Previous P&L management 
  • High performer and results oriented with proven results 
  • Good understanding of Account Planning and Customer Engagement program and processes 
  • Good understanding of local healthcare systems including pricing and reimbursement 
  • Good knowledge in market ethic rules 

Your excellent track record leading and developing teams including succession planning will be as important in this role as will be your proven record of leading and developing cross-functional teams without formal line management responsibility.  

You partner with multidisciplinary functions and therefore must have proven ability interacting with and influencing regional and global internal stakeholders. You have excellent communication skills with proficiency in written and spoken English.
