As a Catering Sales Manager at the Chicago Marriott Oakbrook, you will be working in an exciting market in Chicago's North Shore Community. Negotiate, contract and Service Social and Corporate events, including prestigious Awards Galas, Mitzvahs, Weddings, and Working with a variety of Fortune 500 companies.

 

The ideal candidate will:

 
  • Be incredibly friendly, customer centric, love to smile and have FUN in a team environment.
  • Have 5 or more years’ experience in Hotel Catering Sales and have knowledge of the local area.
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills, and guest/employee centric management practices.
  • Manages accurately, records for all bookings at hotel.
  • Ensures that predetermined sales expectations are met or exceeded at each hotel.
  • Establishes client base for specific markets to include organizations, associations, social groups, corporate businesses through outside and inside sales, in order to secure business for the hotels.
  • Negotiates Food and Beverage Minimums, Menu pricing, meeting room rental, function space, and hotel services within approved booking guidelines. Confirms agreements in writing utilizing approved contract.
  • Conducts tours of the hotel and banquet facilities; entertains qualified potential clients in accordance with company and property policies and procedures.
  • Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.

  • Site Visits, Menu Consultations, Drafting Contracts, Detailing Events
