Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Paramount Hotel Group. The franchisee controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including the selection and hiring process. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International.

 

We are currently seeking a Director of Sales for a Delta Hotels Indianapolis Airport who has experience working within the Corporate Business Travel, Corporate Group, Catering, SMERF and Association segments in a mid-market area.

 
Primary Responsibilities
  • Effectively source out new corporate clients.
  • Continue relationships with current clients and identify new business from a result of the relationship.
  • The ability to actively sell using a “grass root” sales mentality
  • Identify and close on new business
  • Have current knowledge of hotel rates, strategies, discounts and promotions.
  • Respond to all sales inquiries, RFP’s and other leads accurately, timely and in a professional manner.
  • Compile correspondence, reports and necessary forms i.e. contracts, as well as prepare proposals.
  • Leadership role with a team management
  • Revenue Management and Forecasting
  • Sales Budget, Sales and Marketing Plan development
  • Provide management company and ownership reports as required/requested
  • Other duties as determined by hotel management.
Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of proven Senior Sales Manager or Director of Sales experience in a hotel is required.  Marriott and CI/TY experience is preferred.
  • Experience in opening a new hotel is preferred
  • Must live in the area, this position is not open to relocations.
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes.
  • Ability to read and analyze financial reports and records.
  • Travel will be required as needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
