The Director will be responsible for overseeing all the Hotel’s F&B components emphasizing product quality, efficient service and profitability including Special Events, Culinary, Room Service, & our restaurant, Robies. There are other highlights to the F&B Director’s duties and functions which include:
Duties & Functions of the Food & Beverage Director
Overseeing all the Hotel’s F&B components emphasizing product quality, efficient service and profitability is the over-arching objective of the F&B Director. There are other highlights to the F&B Director’s duties and functions which include:
- Assist in the revision and/or creation of menus for ala carte outlets, special events, and employee meals and make selections for the wine list, alcohol tiers, and beer when necessary.
- Ensure Serve Safe standards are consistently applied in all aspects of F&B operations.
- Assist F&B department managers in their areas of operation as business and/or situations warrant.
- Assist with month end inventory and verify counts with Accounting personnel
- Conduct daily walk through inspections of F&B operations verifying controls, quality, cleanliness, service standards, and security
- Ensure front of the house train in all areas is being conducted. Work to develop and enhance training subjects and programs
- Partner closely with Catering Sales in implementing Banquet Event Orders and other special events
- Partner with Accounting to ensure revenue and costs are aligned within the departments including creating food specials, watching food & labor costs, and updating menu items as needed
- And of course, other duties as may be assigned by the General Manager
