Playa Largo Resort and Spa, a luxury Marriott Autograph Collection property, has an opportunity for a Food & Beverage Director to join our team. We are looking for a talented individual with excellent communication skills that possess a strong work ethic, polished appearance, enthusiastic demeanor and a genuine desire to care for and serve others. Playa Largo features 177 luxury rooms and suites, including 10 private bungalows, a 3-bedroom beach house, ballroom with private courtyard, private marina with boat ramp, a full-service spa, salon, wedding lawn, sports courts and fitness facilities. Playa Largo offers plenty of waterfront and indoor space for events ranging from weddings to private and corporate events. This property also features four restaurants and bars including an upscale steak house, fresh seafood restaurant, ceviche & sushi bar, in-room dining, full banquet and catering department, pool & beach bar, and a sunset terrace.
The Food & Beverage Director will oversee and organize activities of the Food & Beverage Department including, but not limited to the kitchen, banquet operations, restaurants, room service and bars. It is the Director’s responsibility to maintain a high standard of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service. Through collaboration with the Sales Department, the Food & Beverage Director may identify marketing opportunities to promote outlet and event sales. The Food & Beverage Director is responsible for the financial performance of the department.
Some duties include ensuring exemplary customer satisfaction, menu planning and costs, hiring and training staff and ensuring compliance with all corporate policies and procedures that relate to food & beverage, as well as local, state and federal law regulations. We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, strategic and personable leader who can effectively organize a department under the standards of Shaner Hotels.
- College Degree preferred
- 3+ years Food & Beverage managerial experience in high end, multifaceted F&B outlets and banquet operations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment2
