The Playa Largo Resort & Spa, a luxury Marriott Autograph Collection property, is currently seeking a capable and professional individual to join our Food & Beverage team. We are looking for talented individuals with excellent communication skills that possess a strong work ethic, enthusiastic demeanor and a genuine desire to care for and serve others. Previous management experience in a luxury 4-5 star/Upscale restaurant is essential to this position. This property features four restaurants and bars including an upscale steak house, fresh seafood restaurant, ceviche & sushi bar, full banquet and catering department and a sunset terrace.

 

The Food & Beverage Manager will be responsible of managing all aspects of the Restaurant functions, in accordance with Marriott Autograph Collection standards. The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and lounge to include hiring, training and retention of associates, communication of information, implementation of revenue generating suggestions/ideas, and forecasting revenue & expenses. The successful candidate will direct, implement, and maintain a service and management philosophy, which serves as a guide to respective staff. The Food & Beverage Manager will constantly monitor staff performance in all phases of service and job functions, ensuring that all procedures are carried out to departmental standards and will rectify any deficiencies with respective personnel.

 
Job Requirements
 
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven Food & Beverage management experience in a fine dining/luxury resort strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service and preparation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and computer skills.
  • Proven training skills.
  • Exceptional guest and associate service standards.
  • Familiarity with Food and Beverage Cost Controls.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and delegate work assignments.
  • Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) a plus.
  • Excellent people management and problem resolution skills.
  • Superior guest satisfaction skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
