Job Summary

Beginning in late 2019, JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District is set to transform Savannah’s historic riverfront into a vibrant new entertainment destination inviting guests and visitors to experience incredible dining between 12+ outlets, live music and concerts, high-end shopping and inspired hotel stays. Objective / Purpose / Summary:

This IT Support Specialist position is responsible for hands-on day-to-day support of The Kessler Collection’s computer applications, systems, and network infrastructure.


Essential Duties / Responsibilities / Tasks:

  • Front Line Support of All Systems
  • Setup new desktops/laptops
  • Repair desktops/laptops
  • Support printers
  • Support network/VPN connections
  • Onboarding new GP’s
  • Basic system training
  • PCI
  • Systems monitoring
  • Documentation/knowledgebase
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • No Direct Report
  • KSA’s (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities to be discovered via interview & reference checks)
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of MS Exchange, MS SharePoint, Windows Server 2008/2012, Windows 10, Windows 7, MS Active Directory, Group Policy, TCP/IP, WAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VMware, Working knowledge with MAC OS and MAC application software, Remote Access Application & Implementation, Anti-Virus Software, Hospitality software to include PMS, POS Sales, Spa, PBX, Key Lock & Accounting software. Knowledge of MICROS Systems is a plus.
Work Environment/Conditions:
  • Candidate must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, without the use of a private office.
  • Candidate must be able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines with a high degree of optimism, professionalism & collaboration.
  • Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
  • This position frequently interacts in person, email, phone, cell phone and Skype with owners, corporate executives, property level leadership and external vendors.
  • This position maintains direct contact with external vendors on behalf of the company, and may be required to host meetings and/or attend industry related events.
  • This position requires routine on call and after hours work.
  • Minimum Qualifications (Confirmable Formal Education, Certifications, Work/Industry Experience)
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent;  or four to ten years related experience and/or training;  or equivalent combination of education and experience
