UX team at Bentley Systems is looking for a Web Front End Designer located in Vilnius or Kaunas, Lithuania. As a Web Front End Designer your focus will be to create shareable, reusable web components within HTML & SCSS, and consult with front-end developers as well as UX designers to give our web products an amazing, consistent user experience. You'll research technologies to define best practices for front-end web development. You will work with Visual Designers, Product Designers and Software Engineers to develop UI Standards.  
 

Responsibilities: 

• Research to determine the best Web technology to use for Bentley application groups 
• Create shareable libraries of Web UI components that adhere to Bentley interaction and visual design standards 
• Evangelize and facilitate adoption of Web UI Standards 
• Document best practices for Web UI development 
• Research and evaluate internally developed and third-party controls recommend for use 
   

Qualifications: 

• At least 3 years of experience with HTML5 & SCSS as well as experience in visual design / UI layout.
• Fluency in English (both spoken and written)
• Ability to communicate design ideas / concepts with developers & adapt to technical restrictions.
• Technical skills: 

o HTML5 knowledge

o CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS 

o Experience with Git and GitHub.

o Skilled at UI mockup apps such as Adobe XD, Sketch, etc.

o Cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them 

 

Additional points for: 

• JavaScript and/or React knowledge
• Understanding open source best practices.
• Good understanding of interaction and visual design principles 
• Being extremely picky for pixel-perfect UI implementation :) 
• Ability to handle multiple requests at once with frequent priority shifts.

Please note if you are employed full time salary for this position ranges from 2000 EUR gross (before taxes)
