Novotel Edinburgh Centre is 180 bedroom hotel with a swimming pool, restaurant & bar as well as conference facilities.

The Front Office Manager position revolves around:

-Ensuring all guests' journeys through the hotel are hassle-free, pleasant and memorable

-Developing a proactive, guest centric and focused team

-Achieving the best possible financial results for your department

Responsibilities:

Gains guest loyalty via developing good relationships.

Regularly checks the quality of the service provision available.

Anticipates guests' needs and takes them into consideration.

Handles guest complaints and provides a rapid solution.

Organises VIP welcome when necessary.

Carries out recruitment of team.

Trains & coaches team on procedures.

Ensures the brand and/or Group's loyalty programme is promoted to guests.

Ensure that staff has good knowledge of rates, segments and hotel promotions.

Ensures the application of hygiene, safety and environment regulations

Applies and ensures application of the hotel's security regulations (in case of fire etc),

Respects and ensures respect of the hotel's commitments to the "Environment Charter" (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc),

Is responsible for the security of people and property in the area under his/her remit.
