What are we doing?
We are a part of Mercedes Benz Research & Development and responsible for the holistic vehicle system integration of all ECUs including HW, SW and configurations deployed to a vehicle. Think of it as your cloud data center on four wheels in a lot of different variants and configurations resulting in a very complex system. We continuously deliver new features to our customers and we need to make sure that we don’t break anything.

What is our main challenge?
How to provide fast feedback to SW developers, testers and integrators while still achieving high test coverage? How do we identify, which change might break the system and how can we identify this as early as possible? How can we make sure that our customers always have a working product and constantly enjoy new features?

How do we tackle it?
We are implementing and operating an ECU device cloud that allows the integration of target devices with local SW development and enables CI/CD/CT for our vehicle systems. We strive for maximum automation and cloud native development models in the embedded automotive world. We own our ECU device cloud product full stack and end to end.

We need you to scale our device cloud from the ECU level to the whole vehicle level!

Your Tasks...

• You own, enhance and constantly improve the SW components and SW architecture of our ECU device cloud full stack
  
• You implement the cloud foundation layers for device management as well as interfaces to CI/CD/CT systems
  
• You integrate additional vehicle ECUs and directly interact with the specialist departments
  
• You are part of an agile Scrum team and work closely together with other SW development teams in the MBOS (Mercedes-Benz Operating System) ecosystem
  
• You apply the latest technologies in CI/CD/CT, TDD and infrastructure automation and like to improve & challenge how things are done
  
• You love to code and to improve the device cloud by doing instead of talking
  
• You fully live DevOps by taking end to end responsibility throughout the whole lifecycle
