eChinacities.com is currently recruiting a full-time English editor/writer to join its team in the Beijing office, preferably to start work immediately. Candidates should be highly motivated and dedicated to joining our hard-working team. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Chinese culture, be outgoing and have a keen interest in online media, especially in China. If you are passionate about pursuing a career in the editing/writing field and meet the requirements below, we want to hear from you!

- Identify and generate interesting, original, SEO friendly content for the website and its social media accounts and meet KPI targets
- Edit, polish, proofread, write, review and assess content
- Moderate user-generated content and work closely with the editing and tech team to promote user participation
- Social media advertising on Western and Chinese websites
- Identify issues and trends in the social media space in China

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Native English speaker
- Advanced level of Chinese proficiency and ability to translate and rewrite contents from Chinese to English
- Minimum one year (demonstrated) editing/writing experience
- A minimum one year of living experiences in China, preferably in Beijing
- University degree
- Outstanding skills in written and spoken English
- Excellent communication skills
- IT skills and keen interest in the web highly desirable
- Keen interest in local culture and entertainment
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Experience and/or qualifications in journalism preferred

Pay and Benefits:

- 13,000 to 17,000 RMB per month
- Support for work visa provided for qualified candidate
