GDUFS Foreign Language School at Zhaoqing is inviting applications for full-time/part-time teaching position for the academic year 2015/2016. Responsibilities of the positions generally include the preparation and delivery of English classes for primary and middle school students.

Job Title: English Teacher

Number of Vacancies: 6

Qualifications and requirements:
1. Applicant must be a native speaker of English.
2. Degree holder, preferably in TESOL/TEFL/Applied Linguistics, with at least 1 year of teaching experience. It is expected that candidates will have demonstrated experience in (1) teaching English to speakers of other languages and (2) the use of IT (instructional technology) and are adept at creating learning materials for English language learning.
3. Possesses excellent organizational qualities, communication skills, and the ability to work well with a multicultural staff. Applicants should be willing to participate in and contribute to extracurricular activities.

Duties:

1. Teaching ¨C 20 x 40 mins. lesson periods per week, including extracurricular activities e.g. English Corner, tutoring classes, sports activities, judging of English contests and taping of materials for examinations etc.
2. Planning lessons and assessments

Remuneration:

1) A monthly salary of RMB 9000 for the first term, a monthly salary of RMB 9500 for the second term, due and payable within the first ten days of the month. (Salary is negotiable for candidates with significant teaching experience)

2) Free accommodation - furnished private bedroom and free internet access. (excl. utilities)

3) Food meals up to RMB 400 per teaching month (excluding vacation months)

4) A bonus payment of 1 month salary will be made at the beginning of the second contract term. No bonus payment will be made for early departure during school term or upon the termination of the first contract.

Airfare Reimbursement
5) 1 month salary payment to cover airfare will be made at the beginning of the second contract term. No airfare reimbursement will be made for early departure during the school term or upon the termination of the first contract.

The selected candidates are expected to assume duty in September 2015.
