To find out more about us check: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baa_aiJ4L7E As a Functional Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the system safety requirements, system detail design and optimization, system readiness and utilization with a specific focus on the functional safety of the system to comply with ISO 26262 and various legislative requirements of eMobility Products. Your main responsibilities: Utilize functional safety concepts / tools such as preliminary hazard assessments, Risk Management, Hazard and Risk Analysis, Safety Goal definition, Fault Tree Analysis, FMECA, FMEDA, Safety requirements identification, Fault Injection test plan, Verification and validation of safety test cases. This role should passes knowledge of HW electronics circuits and their functioning. Work with cross functional teams and global functional safety engineering teams for designing in safety function on various programs thus responsible for identifying, managing and mitigating safety risks. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for defining the functional safety requirements and safety architecture that meets the functional, performance goals, FuSa as defined by the OEM and Systems Team. The role also requires the incumbent to work with the System Specialist and Electronics hardware engineers and influence the E/E architecture, work with various OEM's to drive the safety concept alignments and controls design that is efficient and minimizes risks during the product development cycle. Deploys FTA/FMEA/FMEDA process to enhance design robustness. Contribute to continued enhancement of architecture to support additional product features. Owns the delivery of Safety work product as per ProLaunch for eMobility organization with Suppliers & Customers to achieve the required ASIL levels. Plan and support safety audits and assessment conducted by external partners and OEMS Planning project milestones, executing milestones and hours, conducting deliverables reviews. Develops engineering methods to aid in robust safety architectures and fault reaction plans across the Product Line Qualifications Your essential skills we are looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering. Master’s in electrical/Power Electronics engineering/safety/ reliability engineering and/or certification from reputed safety organizations like TÜV Relevant experience in functional safety. Understanding of safety standards like IEC 61508, ISO 26262 Vehicle domain knowledge, work experience in the area of eMobility / vehicle electrification.
