Summary of the position:

  • The CU Channel Brand Protection Manager is responsible for developing strategy and leading implementation of CU channel brand protection programs across GC to attain CU BP goals. Reports to APAC & GC Brand Protection Leader.

  • Works in collaboration and coordination with business team and functional team like government affairs, legal, R&D, analytical, operation & supply chain. Leads collaboration and interaction with external stakeholders like authorities, industry associations, industry leading groups to bring influence to bear on governments, which are imperative for success of BP efforts.

Anti-CF/BP Business Goals:

  • Lead field BP coordinator and provide daily guidance and support.
  • Implement BP process to connect & engage business team and customers to make sure the monitoring touching ground
  • Work with BP network and operation team to customize integrated product authentication solution and process for local country needs; educate business to understand & max value of those authentication solutions
  • Work with country level BP coordinator manage sample collection & analysis process, make sure rapid analysis solution in place (for both seeds and pesticide)
  • Regular running patent & trade mark monitoring and report to relative leaders to secure alignment for future actions (or pesticide / seeds registration monitoring & relative actions)
  • Work with business team to development & implement BP strategic actions to protect new launch
  • Work with external vendor to run critical investigation & adm enforcement action cases to protect country revenue, patents, trademarks and registrations.
  • Communicate anti-CF/BP issues / status progress & impact and statistics to business leaders either for CU leadership team or regional BP network
  • Leverage business team and external resource to run communication & education program to help stakeholder understand the negative impact of illegal products
  • Leverage IPR agency resource and Work with allies and industry association to address industry issues
  • Advocacy & legislation for patent & TM filing / pesticide registration policy

Core Responsibilities / Business Scope:

  • Manager will influence and develop CU level integrated BP strategy.
  • Manager will interface with all internal functions. (Government Affairs, Marketing, Communication, Sales, Operations, Corporate Security, Legal, Regulatory, Sourcing, Stewardship, Analytical)
  • Manager will be critical part of APAC and global BP network
  • Manager will collaborate with country level Sales and Marketing team members
