Job Description

  • Develop and execute overall business strategy for EV battery industry for durable business.

  • Generates insights on segment trends and its implications. Helps develop suitable business strategy.

  • Investigate and summarize market dynamics, value chain, competitor landscape, customer segmentation. Defines product solution value proposition

  • Understand the value chain, key influences, key success factors to develop Go To Market plan.

  • Work with battery manufacturers, converters, specifiers to understand explicit  and implicit needs, coordinate product development, validation and scale up. Work closely with R&D to co-own NPD process and roadmap.

  • Effective key account management of large accounts to improve wallet and mind share.

  • Scan the competitive dynamics and upsell the value proposition to maximise price and profit realization

  • P&L ownership for EV battery related product family including portfolio management, pricing strategy, product commercialization and drive NPD roadmap

  • Drive business growth and profitability with cross functional work including commercial team and other supporting teams

  • Work with other business divisions as one Avery Dennison global approach for EV battery industry

Qualifications

  • Master with 8+ years’ experience or Bachelor with 10+years’ experience related to EV battery, either in business development or product marketing 

  • Deep understanding of the China EV battery value chain and ecosystem and its dynamics between decision makers, suppliers, intermediaries, customers and relevant parties

  • Familiar with EV battery process flow and customer qualification process; an understanding of the strategy around developing EV battery business; experience building the strategy is not a must

  • Good technical knowledge of EV battery

  • Good cross functional/regional communication and customer interaction skill

  • Good written and spoken English
