Job Summary The General Ledger analysist position is a critical role within the GFSS (Global Financial Services and Systems) Record to Report (RTR) team that supports the General Ledger Financial Systems. Primary responsibilities include providing support of Eaton's global operations in both our Oracle and SAP financial systems. This individual will have the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from various other subject matter experts, support projects, help identify and implement process improvements, and provide system governance. Job Responsibilities Supports all aspects of General Ledger (Oracle and SAP) for the Record to Report (RTR) function of Eaton's Global Financial Services & Systems (GFSS) organization. Provide escalated support for system and process related questions / issues in Eaton's financial systems (Oracle and SAP) as well as work on root cause analysis to help prevent future reoccurrences. Responsible for completing key activities necessary to support the Month-end close process. Ensures all processes required to produce the primary USGAAP books and secondary local GL books at all global locations are carried out on a daily and monthly basis. GL functional representative to liaison with IT and other accounting & finance teams to manage production support issues involving Alerts and interface errors. Collaborates with the other GFSS functions to implement process improvements and/or process standardization Support project implementation including but not limited to ERP implementations, acquisitions/divestitures, and Oracle2SAP conversions Owner of the financial site maintenance process (additions, changes, closures) ensuring complete and accurate requests as well as timely completion of maintenance from finance system owners Responsible for configuration changes for SAP accounts and periods, Oracle segment values, and Oracle Financial Statement Generator (FSG) Assists the team with proactively identifying ideas for process improvements in all areas of the General Ledger processes. #LI-MA1 Qualifications Qualifications Preferred education level: University or college degree. Years and area of experience required: 1 year of IT, Finance, or Accounting experience. Technical knowledge: Excel, Word, Oracle, SQL, SAP. Soft skills: Customer focus, sense of urgency, ticket and email organization skills.
