Job Description

General Manager Swissotel South Beach Tel Aviv 

The development consists of five components, including 265 keys and a possibility of an extension of 265 more keys, an underground parking, a convention centre and 3’500sqm Fitness & Spa. The project is designed by Feigin Architects, a leading hotel and leisure architect. The hotel guest will be able to float on real Dead Sea water that will be transported to Sun Bat Yam, take the lift straight down to the beach, or head to the commercial area with its boutique shops and fine dining. The commercial centre will be on the new promenade, at sea level and will include a 3,500 sq-m hi-tech fitness complex. All Hotel units will have a balcony that is seafacing, offering a fantastic view of the Mediterranean.

THE POSITION              

Reporting into the Vice President Operations Premium Brands, the General Manager oversees the day to day operation of the hotel in accordance with company standards, mission statement, vision and values. The maximization of financial performance, guest satisfaction and employee development is an integral part of the position. Furthermore he/she is involved in the development and communication of strategies, goals and objectives as well as the development, implementation and monitoring of financial and operational plans for the hotel while, managing, growing and fostering positive owner relations and maximizing performance.

Operations

Employee engagement

  • Directly supervise the Executive Committee members and indirectly supervise all hotel personnel
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and training programs
  • Act as an integer role model, displaying explicit knowledge and awareness of company standards

  • Comes preferably with a background in a franchise or managed environment, and experience of very close relations with small independent owners

Qualifications

  • Prior 5+ years experience in luxury or premium / upscale hotel management essential
  • Prior opening experience is a must
  • Strong match with Accor Inspiring Leader capability framework
  • Experience in Israel / Israeli market is strongly preferred.  Strong understanding of the Israeli  market, culture + religions
  • Strong Educational background
  • Fluent in English and Hebrew and a preference for French
  • Good understanding of the local market (previous experience preferred)
  • Experience with owner relationships
  • Must be strategic, creative and able to clearly communicate how plans will deliver on overall goals
  • Excellent speaking and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills
