Enterprise Resiliency Office (ERO) BNY Mellon's ERO aligns, centralizes and integrates our resiliency disciplines and capabilities to deliver timely and effective incident identification, impact assessment, escalation, communication and resolution; provide clients with superior service; and deliver resilient, world-class products and services. We leverage best practices, lessons learned from our enterprise-wide operational activities and feedback from our partners to continuously improve our resiliency posture. GOT Relations ECRO Communications and Engagement Team This team architects key messages and leads the strategy for communications to elevate and drive awareness of GOT’s critical role to key stakeholders, clients, and the market, while transforming culture by driving employee connectivity and experience. GOT Relations is comprised of a Top of House team and embedded GOT Comms and Engagement Leads who are aligned to the business. As a Communications and Engagement Lead on this team, you will be responsible for carrying out all GOT Relations activities within the ECRO. You will report to the Head of Resiliency Communications RFP and DDQ Governance. You will oversee all aspects of the ECRO Engagement Strategy and partner closely with Corporate Marketing and Communications. Job Responsibilities Executive Communications Leads the GOT Comms and Engagement Function for ECRO and serves as the key liaison to the Global Operations and Technology (GOT) Relations organization. Develops the strategic and key narratives for ECRO, including Enterprise ECRO messaging in close partnership with Corporate Communications and Marketing. Creates the framework for deployment of messaging, and governs content and flow to drive penetration, continuity, transparency, and understanding across ECRO, partnering with the Head of GOT Internal Relations and Head GOT External Relations to elevate ECRO messaging to GOT and BNY Mellon Enterprise-wide. Oversees and professionalizes the Head of Enterprise Change and Resiliency Office’s executive brand and elevate the organization's executive reporting in alignment with GOT Relations standards. Plans and facilitates ECRO divisional Town Halls, Open Mics, and All Hands Meetings in partnership with the GOT Relations team members. Internal Communications and People Experience Serves as a member of the GOT Relations Comms & Engagement Forum– attending all relevant meetings, ensuring ECRO key representation. Owns the governance of all ECRO comms to ensure continuity and partners with GOT Relations to ensure our messages are aligned with GOT Top of House. Deploys the strategic ECRO messages and organizational announcements created in partnership ECRO Leadership Team. Develops internal and external Thought Leadership for ECRO, intentionally evangelizing our stories of transformation, innovation, and development. Produces content for the GOTWire on behalf of ECRO, which is the destination for GOT news to drive awareness of engagement. Owns the Comms and Events calendar for ECRO. Partners with the Head of GOT Internal Relations to represent ECRO experts in org-wide events such as Lunch and Learns and Fireside Chats. Reports on ECRO comms and events analytics, gleaning insights to drive strategic/intentional communications. Co-creates and operationalizes the GOT ECRO People Experience strategy aligned to the GOT People Experience strategy, partnering with the Head of GOT Internal Relations and HR to drive cultural transformation in ECRO. Utilizes employee listening and engagement analytics (Peakon) to drive ECRO Employee Engagement in partnership with the GOT ECRO Engagement Associates. Manages GOT ECRO recognition and awards (WOW/Best in Class). External Communications Partners with the Head of GOT External Relations to identify key opportunities in the industry to shine a light on the leadership, initiatives and innovations across ECRO. Manages external relations support (media, interviews, speaking engagements, social) on behalf of ECRO in partnership with Head of GOT External Relations and Corporate Communications. Support the database management of ECRO industry opportunities for external awards and conferences and drives ECRO award submissions. Incident and Business Continuity Communications Performs a secondary role providing Incident Communications support to technology and business continuity internal and external communications as part of the wider Resiliency Communications team. General Role Description Drives execution and participates in strategic planning for respective Technology Relations function. Coordinates work initiatives across content owners and Technology stakeholders. Leads project execution, and partners in and/or owns initiative planning for respective function. Partners in the oversight of respective function and serves as an SME for the area. Identifies new strategies to support overarching Technology Relations objectives across functions. Creates strategic key messages for Global Technology and owns the deployment of the messages. Oversees the development of functional calendars and knowledge repositories. Ability to create vision and strategy, but also, and equally important to carry through to execution – thinkers and doers. Proactive and self-motivated to work ahead of deadlines, doing what it takes to do the job well and above expectation. Strong written and verbal communication. Attention to detail and deep organizational skills. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines. An understanding of C-Suite needs / understands the need for accuracy and expediency. Drives the achievement of teams' and functional area's objectives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of experience is preferred. Six to ten (6-10) years of total work experience is preferred. Strong communication, writing and editing skills. Executive presentation and reporting experience is preferred. Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus. Ability to create vision and strategy, but also, and equally important to carry through to execution – thinkers and doers. Proactive and self-motivated to work ahead of deadlines, doing what it takes to do the job well and above expectations. Attention to detail and deep organizational skills. Ability to work independently or with a team. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines. An understanding of C-Suite needs / understands the need for accuracy and expediency. Experience with internal and external outreach, social media and collaboration tools is preferred.
