Are you passionate about optimizing program execution on GPG/CPU and disrupting the industry with your innovations? Working with leading engineers on Intel's latest GPGPU, oneAPI programming systems and compilers? Do you love collaborating with a diverse team to help achieve Best-In-Class performance and programmability? Then our GPU Software Engineering (GSE) team has opportunities for you. The Compiler team is within GSE and we develop advanced compiler and tools for client and data center workloads running on GPU/CPU.
We are looking for GPU Compiler Engineers to join our team and who is ready to make significant impact on data center and high-performance computing via advanced optimizations. As a member of the GSE Compiler group, you will be responsible for the following activities:
Design and develop state of the art compiler translations and optimizations targeting GPGPU.
Investigate and prototype new optimizations to improve performance and efficiency for GPU systems.
Work with GPU HW architects to co-design/define new uArch features and ISA for future Intel Graphics Processors.
Performance measurement and workload analysis to evaluate and improve the compilation technology on new HW features.
Write technical specification, design documents, and patent disclosures.
Behavioral traits that we are looking for:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong leadership in driving execution across different functional units.
Possess strong teamwork, problem solving and influencing skills along with abilities to work with different geographical locations.
What we offer you:
We give you opportunities to transform technology and create a better future, by delivering products that touch the lives of every person on earth.
As the 7th largest global company in innovation and new technology, we foster a collaborative, supportive and boredom-free environment, where the brightest minds in the world come together to achieve exceptional results.
We offer a competitive salary and financial benefits such as bonus, opportunities to buy Intel stocks at a discounted rate, or Intel stock awards.
We provide unique benefits that cater to your needs: flexible work hours, private medical plan, travel medical care, live and disability insurance.
We encourage working hard, but also playing hard. Intel employees are eligible for creative perks such as special recreation activities, discounts on various products and services, and much more.
Qualifications
Minimum Skill and Experience that we are looking for:
MS or PhD in Computer Science or similar technical discipline.
Minimum 3+ years (Ph.D.) or 5+ years (MS) of working experience in product compiler development, proficiency in C\C++ programming and OS internals.
Your experience should be in the following prioritized areas:
Design and development of a product compiler, e.g. in transformations, dataflow/control-flow/dependence analysis, optimizations, and code generation.
Preferred Skills and Experience that will make you stand out:
Experience with LLVM internals and back-end specifics.
Hand-on development of compiler tools, such as assembler, linker, debugger, etc.
Compiler development for data parallel programming languages, targeting SPMD and SIMD architectures.
Experience with performance analysis and tuning of compiler transformations and optimizations for modern HPC and AI workloads on GPUs.
Intel Architecture, Graphics, and Software (IAGS) brings Intel's technical strategy to life. We have embraced the new reality of competing at a product and solution level—not just a transistor one. We take pride in reshaping the status quo and thinking exponentially to achieve what's never been done before. We've also built a culture of continuous learning and persistent leadership that provides opportunities to practice until perfection and filter ambitious ideas into execution.
