Job Description

Graphics Software Engineer Intern:

You will become a part of larger team of graphics engineers working on next generation of Intel graphics products including Intel's discrete graphics card. Our team's goal is to provide high quality drivers for gamers and other Intel's graphics end users. You will be responsible for Intel Graphics Shader Compiler validation and test/tools development.

Who are we looking for? 

We are looking candidates for Graphics Validation Engineer position. In this role, the successful candidate will work with the newest technologies associated with graphics. This includes working with Development and Validation to develop and maintain automation and infrastructure to improve gaming experience for Intel clients. Candidates with very strong C++ skills will in addition contribute to the graphics driver development.

At Intel, our internships are usually around 12-24 months long, and you’ll be with us part-time alongside your university degree to support your educational and professional development at the same time. We ask that all applicants are current university students and will remain students during the length of our internship. 

Hybrid/remote mode:

In the current situation the internship will take place remotely, however due to the planned change to a hybrid mode of work at the end of the year we prefer that as an intern in a new team and environment you have the possibility to relocate to Gdańsk in the future.  However working from other locations in Poland could be possible.


Qualifications

No professional experience is required, although fair C++ skills is needed to be successful at this role. 

Also important for us:  

  • Strong analytical thinking and dedication

  • Programming skills

  • Ability to technically lead well-defined tasks and solve complex technical problems quickly

  • Ability to focus on high-quality coding, and learn and gain new knowledge

  • Fluency in English

An opportunity to learn/nice to have:

  • SQL programming and administrating skills
  • Experience in C# or C++ programming

  • Experience in computer graphics theory

  • Experience with Windows graphics drivers Experience in ASP.NET MVC

  • Proficiency in using source code versioning systems: GIT Knowledge of scripting languages.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
